This sector was set up in 1982 as the Medical and Surgical Equipment Sector. It changed its name to Disposable Products in 1991 and, finally, on the initiative of the Board of Managers, modified it once again to adopt its present name in 1999.
Today it is made up of 48 manufacturing, import and distribution companies of healthcare devices designed for single-use in primary healthcare centres, hospitals, clinics and private medical surgeries, pharmacies, parapharmacies, department stores, etc.
