The sector was created in 1985 and today it is made up of 26 companies, including manufacturers, distributors and dealers of: arthroplasty products, systems for fracture fixation, devices for spine, arthroscope equipment and material, soft tissue repair equipment and other products related to tissue engineering.
This is a sector clearly linked to the quality of life concept. With the exception of traumathological emergencies, patients do not have vital risk associate to their disease. Nevertheless, they experience a radical change in their quality of life after receiving joint implants.
