This sector starts working in 1979 and today it is made up of 37 companies (international, mail orders and manufacturers) dedicated to the manufacturing, distribution and commercialization of equipment and disposable products within the dental field.
This is a special sector since most of the odontology attention in Spain is provided through the private system. Public system services are limited to diagnosis and pain relief by dental extraction for adult population. At present different Autonomous Regions are developing sectorial programs of dental healthcare.
